Who passed away Feb. 21. 1927 aged 43 years.’

Vera Frances Halls (June 1913 – September 1913)
Vera died aged 3 months old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 26 September 1913.
Doris Minnie Halls (1911 – April 1915)
Doris died aged 3 years old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 22 April 1915.
Edith Sarah Halls (née Loker) (d 1927)
Edith was the daughter of Arthur and Athelina (née Smith) Loker and grew up at Gloucester Place. Her father was a labourer, who died in 1898. Her mother then ran The Wheelwright’s Arms on East Road and in 1901 Edith was living there and working as a dressmaker. She married Harvey Halls (1883-1955) on 22 Jul 1909 at St. Andrew the Less Church. They had three children: Harvey Arthur (1910-1985), Doris and Vera and lived at The Wheelwright’s. Edith died at home aged 43 years old and her funeral was held on 25 February 1927.
Harvey Halls married for a second time in 1932 to Mary Brown (1884-1972).
