Located roughly eight rows east of the Norfolk Street gate and three plots from the north wall. The inscription has eroded and we were unable to confirm the name. CFHS maps were used to identify the headstone that has now broken.

Inscription

ELIZABETH HASTINGS d July _ 1892 aged 73

Elizabeth Hastings (c.1818 – 16 July 1892)

Elizabeth was born in Holywell, a village six  miles east of Huntingdon and was deaf. Nothing of her early life is known but by 1851 she had moved to lodge at Sidney Street, and was working as a seamstress. She later lived at Merton Place, Northampton Street (at least 1861-1892) and died at 33 Staffordshire Street.  Her funeral was held on 20 July and both the grave register and newspapers notices of her death gave her age as 74 years.
