Situated west of the central path in the south of the parish of St Andrew the Less. The kerb stones are now visible and the inscription on the fallen headstone is badly eroded but the names are still just visible.


Frances (Fanny) Hattatt (née Mann)  (8 January 1817 – 24 July 1889)

Fanny was born in Beeston next Mileham, Norfolk, a village west of East Dereham, south of Fakenham and was baptised there on 9 February 1817.  She was the daughter of James and Frances (née Barnes) and her father was a labourer, later a Lodging House keeper. She married Joseph Hattatt on 9 March 1846 at All Souls Church, London and they had at least two children: Nelson (1846-1880) and Thirza (1848-1916). Both children were born in London, but by 1851 Fanny was living on Back Hill, Ely with the children. Joseph meanwhile was also living in Ely, where he was a domestic servant to Canon George Willers. Joseph later worked as a Cambridge College servant and by 1861 the whole family had moved to live at 4 Round Church Street. Fanny died at Brunswick Place aged 72 years old and her funeral was held on 29 July.

Joseph Hattatt (1820 – 14 April 1891)

John was the son of John and Patience (née Elliot) Hattatt and was born in Over Wallop, a village on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. He was baptised on 9 July 1820 and married Fanny Hattatt when he was 29 years old. Joseph was a shareholder of boththe Trowbridge Water Company and Cambridge Water Company and also served as an overseer of Holy Sepulchre, Church. He died at 26 City Road, home of his daughter Thirza and son in law William Course. Joseph was buried with his wife on 17 April.
