AMY the beloved daughter of the above died May 14 1888 aged 1

Amy (1887 – 1888)

Amy was the only child of Richard (known as Frank) and Agnes Hodson. She died at the age of 11 months

Richard Frank Hodson (1864 – 5 July 1924)

Although baptised as Richard Frank he always known as Frank. He was born to lamplighter James and sales assistant Rebecca Hodson AL440. Frank was brought up 32 Wellington St and became a butcher.
He married Agnes Robson on December 26th 1885 at St Clement’s Church and in 1887 they were living at 37 Fitzroy St where they had their first and only child Amy (1887 – 1888)
In 1901 he and Agnes were living in “Abbey House” Abbey Road and Frank was Branch Manager for *Eastman’s butcher shop at [52 or 54] Mill Road. Frank then became District Manager at Kings Lynn where they lived above the shop in Norfolk St (1911 census). The obituary and funeral report said he was much respected and died after a long illness.

His death was registered at Kings Lynn and his body brought back to Cambridge for burial. It is assumed that he was buried here, with his daughter.

Agnes Everitt Hodson née Robson (1863 – 13 Oct 1935)

Agnes was the daughter of Jacob Henry & Elisa Robson. Jacob was a confectioner. Eliza was born in Hauxton and in 1871 was with her grandmother Ann Everitt, mother and 2 brothers at the home of farmer Joseph Payne at 28 High St. Eliza was working as a sempstress. By 1881 Agnes was working as a servant in the household of college servant Henry North, at 3 Round Church St. She moved to Kings Lynn about 1905  because of her husband Frank’s promotion but must have returned to Cambridge after she was widowed as she died here in 1935 and it is assumed she was buried here with her husband and baby Amy.
