These kerbstones, located in the south east corner of the parish area of Holy Trinity, lie a several plots south of the south path as it bends to become the east path and 9 rows from the east wall. The carved inscription is very eroded and barely legible. This area is usually left to grow wild and the monument not visible. It was uncovered as part of routine clearance in December 2023.

In Loving Memory of HARRY EDWARD HOGG who died August 8th 1943 aged 64
Harry Edward Hogg (26 February 1879 – 8 August 1943)
Harry was the son of William and Anna (née Lillingstone) and grew up at 11 Perowne Street. His father was a carpenter who later became the landlord of the Brookfield House Inn, 416 Mill Road (1891). By the age of 22 Harry was working as a pastry cook at Pembroke College, where he worked for nearly 40 years. He married Florence (Flora) Louise Baker (1877-) in 1902 and the couple had at least two daughters: Irene Florence (1903-1987) and Ena Anna (1914-1997). The family lived at 50 Brookfields and then 8 Sedgwick Street (at least 1930 onwards). He was a keen member of the Salisbury Conservative Working Men’s Club. By 1939 Harry had retired and he died at The Leys Annex, Addenbrooke’s Hospital after ‘a brief illness’. His funeral was held on 12 August at St. Philip’s Church ‘where a large number of representatives of various organisations attended to pay their last respects’. Local newspapers reported that Harry was ‘well known and held in high esteem by a large circle of friends’, and many members of Pembroke College staff attended his funeral. The Salisbury Club flew a Union Jack at half mast as a mark of respect.
