Annie German Kitchener (née Shepherd)  (15 December 1886 – 21 November 1962)

Annie was born in Sandon,  four miles south east of Royston and baptised there on 12 March 1887. She was the eldest child of John and Caroline (née Stapleton) and her father was a groom/horsekeeper. In 1911 Annie was living in Hunstanton and working as cook to Cambridge academic William Reddaway and his family.   She married Joseph Ernest Kitchener (1891-1987) in 1916 and they had three children: Nancy Winifred Mary (1921-2014), Joyce (1923-1933) and Stanley Joseph (1925-1985). Joseph worked as a dairy roundsman (1939) and later as a college servant and they lived at 18 Malcolm Street. She died at Addenbrookes Hospital aged 75 years old.

Joyce Kitchener (1923 – 31 August 1933)

Joyce died at Malcolm Street aged 10 years old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 4 September 1933.

Stanley Joseph C Kitchener (13 August 1925 – 4 January 1985)

Stanley was the only son of Joseph and Annie. He lived at 18 Malcolm Street, before moving with his father to live at 39 Park Street (at least 1963 onwards) and died aged 59 years old.

Joseph Ernest Kitchener died at Park Street on 23 April 1987. He was the son of Charles and Mary and it is not known if he was buried in the same grave.
