In 1871 Sophia was still living at home and working as a launderess also. She married Thomas Phillips on 17 June 1872 at St. Matthews Church. The couple had four children: Henry Joseph (1873-1949), Thomas Martin (1874-1944), James Mayle (1876-1926) and Sarah Elizabeth (1879-1884). Thomas was a railway timekeeper, and the family lived at 125 Gwydir Street. Sophia died aged 60 years old.

Thomas Phillips (1848 – 29 December 1923)
Thomas was the son of Henry and Sarah Phillips and brother of Arthur Phillips. He was born in Longstanton and baptised there on 21 May 1848. His father was a police constable. In 1861 he was 13 years old and working for butcher John Knott in Islington, London. Thomas was working as a shop delivery boy, and John Knott was originally from Cambridge. By 1871 he was back living with his parents and siblings at 41 Norfolk Street and was working as a labourer, but thereafter is recorded as being a railway timekeeper.
After he was widowed he went to live with his son James and his family at 4 Ainsworth Street (1911). Thomas died aged 75 years old.
