Benjamin Riley Reed (18 December 1819 – 17 August 1876)
Benjamin was the son of grocer Adam and Catherine and was born in London. He was baptised at St. Luke’s, Finsbury on 7 May 1820. He married Emma Cutler (1817-) at St. Saviour’s Church, Southwark on 7 February 1847 and they lived at 16 High Street, Tower Hamlets (1851). Benjamin worked as a silversmith and was widowed, although it not known when Emma died.
He married for a second time in 1871 to widow Catherine Esther Chisholm (née Dickerson) (1834-1912). In 1871 the couple were living at 8 Downing Terrace and he was documented as being a silversmith. He died in Cambridge aged 56 years old.
Benjamin’s brother Thomas Reed is also buried at Mill Road Cemetery.
