Pamela Mary Smith (4 April 1878 – 1 March 1942)

Pamela was the daughter of George and Annie Smith and was born in Chelsea, but had moved to live at 1 Church Street by the time she was 12 years old (1891). George workeda s a footman and later as a fly (carriage) driver and died in 1897.  Pamela then lived with her mother at 1 Auckland Cottages, Auckland Road (1901) and 12 Newmarket Road (1911) – she worked as a tailoress, and also assisted her mother who was a laundress. She was living at Newmarket Road in 1939 and documented as being a trouser tailor and died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Florence Helena Smith (1882 – 22 June 1934)

Florence was also born in Chelsea and in 1901 was living at Warkworth Street and working as a domestic servant to widow Elizabeth Wallis. She died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 52 years old.
