Alice Sarah Staden (née Scarr)  (3 November 1863 – 15 March 1931)

Alice was the daughter of William and Ann (née Mitham), brother of William and was baptised in Cherry Hinton on 13 December 1863. She grew up at Mill End in Cherry Hinton and her father worked as a railway labourer. In 1881 Alice was living at Whittlesford  Mills, Whittlesford and working as a housemaid for brewer Henry Clark and his wife Emily. She married tailor Walter Staden in 1897 and they lived at 190 Gwydir Street (1901), 36 Marshall Road (1911) and then 10 Blinco Grove. Alice died at Blinco Grove aged 67 years old.

Walter Edward Staden (19 March 1866 – 16 November 1959)

Walter was the son of John and Maria, and brother of Alfred Thomas.  John Staden was a cellarman and Walter grew up at 5 Norfolk Buildings (until at least 1881) and then 27 Gwydir Street (1891) . By the age of 15 he was working as a tailor, and his brothers John and Alfred were also tailors. Walter married Alice Scarr when he was 31 years old and continued to live at 10 Blinco Grove after he was widowed. He died at home aged 93 years old.
