Mary was the daughter of Robert and Margaret Cole and was baptised Harvey Ann Cole on 1st November 1825. When she married basket maker Charles Stone on 11 August 1845 at St. Vigor’s Church, Fulbourn, she was also registered as Harvey Ann, but over time her name changed to Mary Ann. The couple lived at 16 Staffordshire Place (1851), then 53 East Road (1861) and had at least one child: Adelaide. In 1861 Mary was working as a dressmaker and died at home aged 41 years (but her age was registered as 42 years). Her funeral was held on 2 February 1867.
Charles Stone (1811 – 1 October 1878)
Charles was the son of William and Sarah Stone. He was born in Royston, but grew up in Fulbourn where he was baptised on 14 June 1818. After Mary’s death he lived with Adelaide at 53 East Road (1871), and died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Adelaide Mary Ann Stone (1848 – 25 January 1930)

She then lodged with the Sheldrick family at 7 Burleigh Street, and in 1891 was documented as being a cashier. She later lodged wtih Sarah Fendick at 12 City Road, and both women worked as dressmakers (1901). Adelaide was living at the Knight and Mortlock’s Almshouses, 117 King Street by 1911.
