These kerb stones, in the parish area of St Andrew the Great, are located nine rows from the central path on the northern boundary of the parish. The kerbs are overgrown but appear intact. The inscription is only partially visible.

Frederick Stretch (c.April 1860 – 20 February 1924)
Frederick was born in Cherry Hinton and baptised there on 23 July 1865, when he was 5 years old. He was the son of Frederick James (1831-1904) and Sarah (née Ellis)(1837-1914). Frederick (snr) was a stonemason and Frederick also worked as the same. He married Emma Brown (1859-1941) in her home village of Balsham in 1882 and they had four children: Bessie Alice (1882-1962), Mabel Emma (1884-1952), Rose Rebbecca (1885-1939) and Frederick James (known as Fred) (1889-1964). The couple lived in Norwich for a short time, where Mabel and Rose were born, but by 1889 had settled at Cockburn Street, Cambridge. Frederick worked as a stonemason at local building company Messrs. W Saint Ltd. and died at home ‘after a long and painful illness’ aged 63 years. c.30 of his work colleages preceeded the cortege
Emily (known as Emma) Jane Stretch (née Darling) (1886 – 30 January 1912)
Emma was the daughter of Joseph Frederick (1856-1910) and Mary Jane (née Jarman) (1865-1889). She was baptised at St. Matthew’s Church on 20 April 1887. Her father worked at the Star brewery and she grew up at 18 Wellington Street. Aged 14, Emma was working as a domestic servant and married Fred Stretch on 22 May 1909 at St. Matthew’s Church. Fred was also a stonemason, like his father and grandfather and the couple had two children: Rose Winifred (1909-1971) and Frederick Leonard (1910-1995). The family lived at 15 Charles Street, and Emma died at Addenbrookes Hospital aged 25 years. Her funeral was held on 3 February 1912.
Her husband Fred returned to Cockburn Street, where he lived with his mother and sister Rose. He married Elsie Wiinifred Bonnett (1908-1962) in 1942 and died at Cockburn Street in January 1964.
