This set of kerbs with corner posts lie 1 row to the east of the north central path and a few metres north of the north path. We did not clear the kerbstones in 2018 when this area was cleared in 2028 and as it has now overgrown again we have not been able to check the inscription.

Louis Chancey Wycliffe (31 March 1879 – 6 June 1954)
Chancey as he was known was born in Barton, the son of William Wycliffe. He worked as a carver and in 1911 was lodging in Worcester. He married Gladys Key on 19 February 1919 in Horningsea and it was reported ‘the bride, who was attired in a grey gabardine costumer, with hat to match, was given away by her father. Miss Ethel Fendick was the bridesmaid, and the duties of best man were carried out by Mr. George Key (brother of the bride). Subsequently a reception was held at the bride’s home’. The couple lived at 16 Clarendon Street (1923) and 5 Wort’s Causeway (1939). By 1939 Chancey was working as a sculptor. The couple later moved to Avoca, 10 Wort’s Causeway, where Chancey died aged 75 years old.
Gladys Wycliffe (née Key) (8 August 1889 – 8 May 1974)
Gladys was the youngest daughter of Henry (1841-1925) and Rhoda Elizabeth (née Gibbins) (1856-1933). Henry was a grocer, and she grew up at 166 East Road (1891/1901) and later at 43 East Road (1911). She was a milliner prior to marrying Chancey in 1919 and died in Bury St. Edmunds aged 84 years old.
