This plinth with broken cross within the kerb stones is located three rows east of the east path behind bushes, towards the south of the parish of St Andrew the Less. The  carved inscription is very eroded.

Sarah Elizabeth Brown (née Brooker) (1837 – 1890)
Sarah was the daughter of John and Sarah Brooker (née Headly). She was born on August 20th 1837 and baptised on March 13th 1842 at the church of Mary the Great. Her father, a picture frame manufacturer and print maker, died in 1839, while on board a ship bound for Sydney, Australia, and she was brought up at the home of her maternal grandfather in New Square.  She married grocer Thomas Goodchild Brown on May 5th 1860, in the parish of St Andrew the Less when she was 22.

They had at least 10 children: Emily Scotcher (b 1861), Kate Ellen (b 1862), Jessie (b 1864), Ada Sarah (b 1866), Edward Brooker (b 1868), Harry George Thomas (b 1870), Frank Richard (b 1872), Eva Isabel (1876), Percy James (b 1879) and William Alick (b 1881)

The family lived on Maid’s Causeway where Thomas was a grocer but moved to Ainsworth St sometime in the late 1870’s when Thomas became a clerk.

When she died she was living at 5 Kingston Street, Cambridge.

Edward Brooker Brown was apprenticed to his uncle Edward Headly at the Mill Road foundry in 1883.* His address at this time being 5 Bay Terrace Mill Road.
In 1911 Percy married Eleanor Powell in Philadelphia, She was daughter of the British Consul there.

Thomas Goodchild Brown died in 1918 at the age of 80 and is buried with his daughters Emily and Ada in the parish of Holy Sepulchre. We have not found a monument.

Sarah Brooker (d 1894)

Sarah was the daughter of Robert Headly. She married John Brooker and they had five children;  Edward John (b 1834), twins Edward Ind, and John Parry (b 1835), Emily (b 1836) and Sarah Elizabeth (1837).
Sarah was living at 19 Devonshire Road when she died at the age of 84.
