George Clayton (1862 – 21 August 1900)

George was the son of George and Eliza and grew up at Newmarket Road (1871/1881). His father was a bricklayer and George also worked in the same trade. He married Mary Ann Clark (1865-) and they had at least one son: David Albert (1884-1959). In 1891 George was working as a bricklayer and also running Ye Old Abbey pub on Beche Road. He later ran the Carpenters Arms on Victoria road where he died aged  37 years old.

Albert Almeric Clayton (1910 – 9 January 1916)

Albert was the middle son of David Albert Clayton and Beatrice Alice (née Harben) (1886-1958). In 1911 he was living with his parents and elder brother George at 186 East Road.  David Clayton was a confectioner/tabacconist and cab (carriage) owner. The family emigrated to Canada in March 1913, but Albert returned back to England in July  1915 with his mother and two brothers. They returned to 50 Stafford Street, Cambridge and he died in Cambridge aged 5 years old.

By 1921 David and Beatrice were living in Toronto, Canada and they both died in Canada.

Albert’s maternal uncle Benjamin Harben is also buried at Mill Road Cemetery.
