Keeble Constable (28 March 1824 – 10 December 1894)

Keeble was born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and was the son of Keeble and Harriet (née Clodd), brother of William and Thomas.  He was baptised in Bury St. Edmunds on 9 September 1824.

He married Mary Ann Hewitt at Christ Church, Barwell on 27 November 1846 and they had one daughter: Sarah Ann.  In 1851 the family were living at New Court, and both were working as school teachers.   They later moved to the School House, Back Lane, Chesterton (1861/1871), where he was Headmaster of Chesterton School. Keeble then became a rate collector and they moved to live at 47 Jesus Lane (1881/1891) and then 12 Ferry Path.  Keeble died at Ferry Path aged 70 years old.

Although her name was not found on the headstone she is buried in this parish and we have assumed her grave to be here.
