Anna (Annie) Georgina Leverington (née Walter) (26 August 1894 – 1941)
Annie was born in Ipswich and was the daughter of George Robert Walter (1859-1899) and Annie Louisa (née Thorp) (1864-1912). George Walter was a clerk who died when Annie was young and she grew up with her mother and step father Frederick Bye at 8 Priory Road (1901) and 28 Newmarket Road (1911). Aged 16 Annie was working as a tailors apprentice (1911) and married Thomas Leverington in 1922. They had two sons: Dennis W (1922-) and Geoffrey Keith (1928-2011) and lived at 5 Orchard Street (1930) and 19 James Street (1939). Thomas worked as a grocer and Annie died at home aged 47 years old. She was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 4 September 1941.
Thomas Leverington (3 September 1898 – 15 January 1976)
Thomas was the third son of Thomas and Hannah Marie (née Long). His father was a painter and decorator and he grew up at 75 Catherine Street. He married Annie when he was 22 years old and died at James Street aged 77 years old.
