Frank Hubert Lister (16 August 1891 –  19 September 1971)

Frank was the son of George and Alice (née Loker) Lister and grew up at Hurlingham House, 38 Norfolk Terrace. His father was a postman/letter carrier and in 1911 Frank was working as a tabacconist’s assistant. It is believed that he served as a sergeant with the Royal Engineers in the 1st World War and then married Alice Laughton in 1919 in Coventry.  They had at least two sons: Frank Laughton (1920-1992) and Jack Frederick G (1920-2004) and lived at 261 Victoria Road.  Frank worked for Cambridge Council as a foreman and died  aged 80 years old,

Alice Grace Lister (née Laughton) (17 October 1891 – 17 January 1982)

Alice was the daughter of John and Alice (née Brown)  and grew up at 45 Gold Street where her father was a shoe/bootmaker (1901) although he later worked as a college waiter (1911). She died aged 90 years old.
