This set of kerbstones with cornerstones lie by the east wall, about 25 metres south of the Gwydir St gate and a few meters from the corner where the wall turns east around the industrial estate. The inscriptions of metal letters are mostly intact. This area is often overgrown.

Harry Lofts (1862 – 20 March 1913)
Harry was born in Higham, Suffolk – a village midway between Bury St. Edmunds and Newmarket. He was the son of Henry and Sarah Lofts and his father was an agricultural labourer. Harry worked on the railway as a guard and married Elizabeth Plumb at All Saints’ Church, Poplar on 12 August 1884. The couple lived in Norfolk at the start of their marriage, but had moved to Cambridge by at least 1887. They had eleven children: Harry William (1886-1948), Jessy May (1886-1959), Irene Ethel (1887-1975), Gertrude Ada (1889-), Lily Cordelia (1891-1971), Christina Eveline (1892-1980), Hilda Augusta (1894-1900), Sidney Frederick (1896-1988), Ruth Mary (1898-1991), William Stanley (1903-1985) and Gweneth Winifred (1906-1991). They lived at 20 Kingston Street (1891), Thoday Street (at least 1900-1911). Harry died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and his funeral was held on 25 March.
Elizabeth Jane Lofts (née Plumb) (1862 – 13 May 1928)
Elizabeth was the daughter of labourer Samuel and laundress Jessy Maria Plumb and was born in London. She was baptised on 8 March 1863 at St. Mary’s Church, Lambeth and before marrying Harry Lofts she worked as a tailoress/dressmaker. She continued to live at Thoday Street after his death and died in Cambridge aged 65 years old.
Hilda Augusta Lofts (1894 – 20 December 1900)
Hilda died at Thoday Street and was buried on Christmas Eve 1900.
