Susannah (Susan) Maria Roberts (née Dunn) (1842 – 15 February 1867)
Susan was the only daughter of Willam and Mary Ann and grew up at 4 Willow Walk where her father was a tailor. She married stonemason Edwin Roberts on 5 June 1865 at Christ Church, Cambridge and they lived at 15 Melbourn Place. She died at home and her death was said to be ‘deeply regretted by all who knew her’.
Susan’s brother Henry William Dunn is also buried at Mill Road Cemetery.
Edwin Roberts (1840 – 10 March 1895)
Edwin was born the village of Budbrooke, two miles west of Warwick, Warwickshire and was baptised there on 19 January 1840. He was the illegitimate son of Elizabeth Robert and worked as a stonemason. After Susan’s death he married Angelina Bright (1838-1921) on 1 March 1870 at Christ Church. Angelina already had an illegitimate son: Charles Yorke Bright (1859-1889) and they had one daughter together: Kate Elizabeth (1872-1957). The family lived at 21 Burleigh Street (1871) and 42 Grafton Street (at least 1881 onwards). Edwin died at Grafton Street aged 55 years old.
