This headstone, located in the parish of St Andrew the Less, stands 2 rows east of the central path not far from the southern border of the parish.

Edith Mary (Edie) Scott (1878 – 16 December 1900)

Edie was the third daughter of William and Emma Scott. She died at 11 James Street and her funeral was held on 20 December.

William Scott (1843 – 28 November  1904)

William was the son of John Edward and Mary Ann (née Masters), brother of Charles and grew up at 37 Burleigh Street. His father was a cabinet maker, his mother a tailoress, and aged 17 William was working as an upholsterer’s apprentice.  He married Emma Burrell at Christ Church on 7 December 1870 and they had five children: Henry Rupert (1872-1955), Lilian Grace (1875-1930), Laura Kate (1876-1960), Edie and Eva Emma (1886-1973). William worked as an upholsterer and the family lived at 11 James Street. By 1891 he was working a house decorator, assisted by his son Henry and died at James Street aged 61 years old.

Emma Scott (née Burrell) (1843 – 15 April 1937)

Emma was the daughter of George and Mary (née Brock) Burrell,  and grew up at 81 Newmarket Road where her father ran a pub.  Her sister Agnes married William Scott’s brother Charles in 1878. After she was widowed she lived at 11 James Street with daughter Emma and died at home aged 94 years old.

Eva Emma Scott 21 March 1886 – 17 September 1973)

Eva worked as a milliner (1911) and died at the Royal Albert Almshouses, Hills Road.
