Julia Searle (née Craske) (1863 – 21 March 1929)

Julia was born in Cambridge and aged 8 was living at 23 Carlisle Street, London with her parents Walter and Mary Ann (née Spalding) , and two siblings. Walter was a carman (delivery driver) and after her mother died in London c.1873 , Walter returned to London and married for a second time to widow Elizabeth Best.

Julia married Frederick Searle in 1884 and they had four children: Lily May (1884-1964), Dorothy Lily (1890-1933) and two further children who died as infants. Frederick worked as a wood machinist/builder’s machinist and they lived at 79 Russell Street.

Frederick William Searle (1863 – 25 May 1936)

Frederick was baptised in Comberton on 7 June 1863 and was the son of James and Mary Searle. His father was an agricultural labourer and aged 17 Frederick was lodging with his sister at 3 Russell Court, Russell Street and working as a bricklayer’s labourer. He died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 73 years old.
