This headstone, in the parish area of St Andrew the Less, is situated in the centre of the north meadow. The inscription is  badly eroded. It is likely that at least one other person is buried here

Mary Ann Smith (1860 – 19 November 1907)

Little is known of Mary’s life, she is believed to have been born in Cambridgeshire and in 1891 was working as a general servant for bootmaker William Robinson, living at 23-24 Market Place. By 1901 she was living at 54 Covent Garden, where she was housekeeper to shoemaker William Hines. She died at 62 Fitzroy Street and her funeral was held on 23 November.
