Elizabeth Barson (née Bowd) (c.1816 – 22 August 1868)
Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert and Sarah Bowd and grew up at 45 New Street. Her father was a rope maker. She married George Barson in 1842 and the couple had at least six children: Eliza Emma (1844-1921), Clara Harriet (1851-1937), Matilda Susanna (1858-1928), Emily (1859-1859) and a further two children who died as infants, as referenced on the grave monument. George was a stonemason and the family lived at 29 Adam and Eve Row (1851) before moving to 7 Petersfield (at least 1860 onwards). Elizabeth died aged 53 years old.
George Triplow Barson (c.1815 – 30 July 1900)
George was the son of James and Ann (née Triplow) Barson and brother of Eliza. He was baptised at St Andrew the Great Church on 24 November 1815. He married when he was c.26 years old. He continued to live at 7 Petersfield with his daughters and died there in 1900. His age is recorded on the grave monument as 82 years old, but he was probably actually 84 years old when he died.
