Ann Searle (née Smith) (1820 – 11 January 1885)

Ann was born in Cambridge and married tailor Henry Searle on 20 October 1840 at Christ Church. When she got married she was living at Gloucester Place and the couple lived there after getting married (1851) before moving to 26 Fitzroy Street (at least 1861 onwards). They had at least ten children: Henry (1841-1911), James (1843-1845),  Sarah Ann (1846-1913), James (1847-1847), Jane Louisa (1848-1920), Emily (1851-1900), William (1853-1931), Mary (1856-1943), James (1857-) and Elizabeth (1860-1936). Ann died at Fitzroy Street and her funeral was held on 15 January.

Henry Searle  (c.1817 – 11 March 1888)

After he was widowed Henry lived at 3 Alexandra Street with his daughter Emily, who ran a Lodging House there. He died at home aged 71, and his funeral was held on 14 March.
