Monument
Located roughly seven rows east of the Norfolk Street gate midway between the north wall and the path. The kerb stone on the north side has fallen as has one corner post and some of the metal letters have become detached. We were only able to check part of the inscription.

Louis Twinn (15 July 1901 – 16 October 1911)
Louis was the son of Henry Twinn (1873-1958) and Clara Maria (née Shipp) (1874-1955). He grew up at 91 Fitzroy Street and his father was a builder. Louis died at the Cambridge Borough Infectious Diseases Hospital (also known as the Sanitorium) aged 10 years old. He was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 18 October.
John Twinn (1825 – December 1900)
John was born in Great Shelford, the son of Richard and Elizabeth (née Charter). His father was an agricultural labourer, but later worked as a ‘maltster’s man’. In 1851 John was working as a stationer, and was living with his brother Richard and sister Sarah at Union Road, Cambridge. He had a shop at 24 Petty Cury, and adverts in local newspapers advertised items such as ‘ good cream laid note paper, fine thick enamelled satin adhesive envelops, good cream laid letter, or yellow wove’. The business ran into financial difficulties in December 1855 and John had to sign over his ‘estate and efects to Henry Reminton of 5, Queen Street, Cheapside, wholesale stationer’. He then moved back to Great Shelford and aged 36 was living with his parents and working as a photographer. He married Eliza Beale in 1867 and they had at least three children: Sarah (1872-), Henry (1873-1958) and John Herbert (1876-1949). They lived at Salmon Lane and he worked as a maltster. John died at home aged 75 years old and his funeral was held on Christmas Eve 1900.
Eliza Twinn (née Beale) (1834 -15 August 1918)
Eliza was born in Royston and is believed to have been the daughter of William and Mary. She was baptised in Royston on 21 September 1834 and aged 15 was working as a nursemaid for John and Martha Beale, who lived on the High Street, Royston. She later worked as a servant for Rev. Sanuel and Sarah England in Hove, Sussex (1861) before marrying John Twinn when she was 33 years old. After she was widowed she lived at 1 Salmon Lane with her son John (1901) and then lived with her eldest son Henry at Fitzroy Street (1911). Eliza died in Royston aged 84 years old.
