Anna was the daughter of George(1845-1891) and Ann Maria (née Scales) (1841-1902) Dant and was baptised in Chesterton on 30 June 1872, when she was 3 years old. Her father was a butcher and also ran the Prince of Wales Pub, which was on the corner of Gwydir Street and Norfolk Street (1871) . He later worked as a waterman and the family moved to live at Cutter Primises, in Chesterton (1881). Anna married Harry Wood (1867-) in 1887 when she was 18 and they had at least four children: Martha Annie (1888-1892), Wilfred Harry (1890-1892), Winifred (Winnie) (1893-) and Ethel (1894-).Harry worked briefly for the railway and in 1891 the family were living in Birmingham, where both their elder children died. They had returned to live in Cambridge by 1893 when daughter Winnie was born. Harry worked as a tabaconnist and hairdresser, and they lived at 31 South Street, where Anna died aged 27 years old. Her funeral was held on 3 December 1896.
Harry married Fanny Grace Kent in 1897 and they had two more children. Their son Harry Stanley Wood is also buried at Mill Road Cemetery.
